A Ranch Retreat was established in 1997 to offer a modern retreat-style environment for the broadcast television, motion picture and video industry. The intent of "The Ranch" is to foster excellence in production while enjoying a creative and refreshing atmosphere.

Located on a 40 acre site located 30 kms southwest of Calgary in the rolling Alberta foothills, the Ranch offers full High Definition nonlinear post-production facilities, relaxed accommodation, and an insert shooting stage. Complete multi-line telephone, high-speed internet, fax, copier facilities help keep you in touch with the rest of the world. Guests working at our facility are welcome to all the ranch amenities including private guest accommodation with a great view, down-home cookin', full gym and sauna, horse and buggie rides, complimentary bar, satellite HDTV, and a challenging professional Par 3 golf practice facility. All inclusive, free of charge to clients working at The Ranch.

The office and edit suites are located in a beautifully renovated log barn complete with fireplace and breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains. We offer two Final Cut Pro HD suites completely integrated with the latest software and support programs available. Standard definition and high definition playback/record VTR's can be assigned to either suite. Multi-formats are supported including HDCAM, BetacamSP, HDV, DVCAM and DVD. We have a thorough music stock library, narration booth, and video stock shot library.
